Teaching Philosphy

I am teaching to help the next generation of young people learn how to take control of their voices, their talents, and ultimately, their lives. If you want to become a professional singer, technical mastery is essential. I begin the study of singing by focusing on the fundamentals of technique…posture, vowels and breath support. These principles are the building blocks for legato, resonance, an extensive vocal range and vocal power. Once a healthy technique is developed, the real fun begins. A student’s sense of awareness increases, as does their self-esteem. They learn to freely express text and emotions. Essentially, they become great storytellers, which is the goal of every performing artist.
